Position: MHPSS Specialist (Mental Health & Psychosocial Support)

About the Role
Handicap International is seeking a qualified MHPSS Specialist to lead and implement mental health and psychosocial support programs in Peshawar. The role focuses on providing technical guidance, capacity building, and ensuring quality service delivery for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Design and oversee MHPSS interventions in line with international standards.
✔ Provide technical support to field teams and local partners.
✔ Conduct training sessions for staff and community workers on psychosocial support.
✔ Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring data-driven improvements.
✔ Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and stakeholders for coordinated response efforts.
Requirements
🎓 Education:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Psychiatry, or related field.
💼 Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in MHPSS programming, preferably in humanitarian settings.
- Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on MHPSS and trauma-informed care.
🌍 Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and training capabilities.
- Fluency in English and Urdu (knowledge of Pashto is a plus).
